Kagiso Trust Celebrates 40 Years of Women’s Legacy
On 7 August 2025, Kagiso Trust gathered at Summer Place, Johannesburg, to mark Women’s Day with a celebration steeped in history, inspiration, and vision for the future.
Under the theme “40 Years of Legacy”, the event honoured the remarkable women who have been central to Kagiso Trust’s story. From those who stood at the forefront in our early years to those who continue to lead in innovation, governance, and social justice today.
The programme featured a powerful keynote address by trailblazing entrepreneur and CEO of Everlectric, Ndia Magadagela, who challenged us to keep forging new paths and to embrace bold leadership in the pursuit of transformation.
A moving panel discussion brought together voices from Kagiso Trust’s history and present Mankone Ntsaba (Chairperson, Kagiso Trust), Nthobakae Angel, Peta Mashinini, and Veronica Simmers, who reflected on decades of service, advocacy, and resilience. Their stories were a testament to the unwavering courage and brilliance that have shaped our organisation’s impact.
The day was alive with storytelling, reflection, and renewed commitment to empowering women and communities across South Africa.
