The Collaborative Governance Model Overview
At the core of the Local Government Support Programme lies the Collaborative Governance Model, designed to catalyse transformative change within municipalities across South Africa. The Collaboration Model aims to facilitate radical collaboration between the municipality and its community towards local socio-economic development.

Established in 2011, Kagiso Trust’s Leverage Fund provides essential financial support to NPOs through a match funding approach. Understanding the challenges faced by NPOs at the community level, we have refined our civil society programmes over the years to enhance the sustainability and effectiveness of these organisations. Through these efforts, we amplify our mission, igniting capacity for a vibrant and engaged civil society that supports and drives sustainable development.
