We focus on building a strong foundation for learning from the earliest stages. This ensures that children are
prepared earlier for success in their educational journey. Through our District Whole Schools Development
Programme (DWSDP), we identified critical gaps in early childhood education. Focusing on Early Childhood
Development (ECD) has enabled us to ensure that children achieve essential learning outcomes, class-
appropriate competencies, and cognitive development from the start. Investing in ECD leads to long-term
economic benefits and positive outcomes when learners reach the foundation phase.

Many Early Childhood Development (ECD) centres, particularly community-based ones, struggle with effective management and leadership due to limited managerial capacity. Most centres are not registered, resulting in non- compliance with essential regulatory and skills development requirements.
We partner with accredited, reputable service providers to enhance practitioner development. These providers equip ECD practitioners with the necessary knowledge and skills to engage with children, including those with special needs effectively.
We ensure the provision of appropriate teaching and learning materials to support effective education.
We focus on improving infrastructure to create a conducive and enriching learning environment for young children.
We emphasize the importance of parental involvement in early learning. By helping parents understand ECD's value, we encourage active participation in their children's educational journey.
