Tee up
tomorrow
12 November 2026  •  Invitational Event  •  Royal Johannesburg Golf Club — West Course

Tomorrow needs skills.
Skills need investment.

South Africa’s future depends on people with the skills to build, maintain and power our communities and industries — electricians, artisans, technicians and problem-solvers who keep the country moving. These skills don’t develop in isolation. They need strong foundations: good teaching, access to equipment, and environments where young people can learn by doing.

Through Tee Up Tomorrow, the 2026 Kagiso Trust Golf Day will raise funds to support technical learning environments across South Africa — directing funding towards practical improvements, tools and equipment that help teachers teach and learners develop their skills.

Tomorrow doesn’t build itself. Tee Up Tomorrow.

Event Introduction

Today we play.
Tomorrow they build.

The Kagiso Trust Golf Day brings business leaders, partners and stakeholders together for a day of golf, networking and purposeful fundraising. Hosted at Royal Johannesburg Golf Club — West Course, the 2026 event supports Kagiso Trust’s efforts to strengthen technical skills development by investing in the practical learning environments where young South Africans develop their abilities.

Through corporate partnerships, auction contributions and direct donations, we aim to help address priority needs in technical school workshops — from essential tools and equipment to improvements that enable hands-on learning. Your fourball can do more than bring people together. It can help create opportunities for the next generation of skilled South Africans.

About Kagiso Trust

Igniting
Human Capacity

Founded in 1985, Kagiso Trust is one of South Africa’s leading development organisations, dedicated to creating sustainable social and economic change. Working alongside government, communities, educational institutions and the private sector, the Trust builds partnerships that strengthen education, improve livelihoods and support resilient communities.

Guided by its purpose of Igniting Human Capacity, Kagiso Trust invests in initiatives that help people realise their potential. The Golf Day extends this purpose by raising funds to strengthen technical learning environments — helping young people access the practical foundations they need to develop skills, explore careers and contribute to South Africa’s future.

The Fundraising Focus

Help build the places
where skills are built

Technical skills are developed through practice. Learners need access to the right tools, equipment and working environments. Teachers need the facilities and resources to demonstrate techniques, guide learners and build practical capability. Through Tee Up Tomorrow, Kagiso Trust is raising funds to help improve technical learning environments across South Africa, with investment guided by assessed needs and available funding.
Where could support make a difference?
  • Workshop infrastructure — repairs, upgrades and improvements to learning spaces.
  • Tools and equipment — resources that enable practical teaching and hands-on learning.
  • Workbenches and training stations — functional spaces where learners can practise and develop their skills.
  • Safety and working conditions — equipment and improvements that support safer, more effective learning environments.
Specialist assessments will help identify and prioritise needs at potential beneficiary schools. The final scope of support will depend on those findings, agreed priorities, project costs and funds raised.
South Africa needs skills. Skills need investment.
Tomorrow doesn’t build itself.
The Wider Skills Story

One belief.
From the fairway to the workshop.

Building South Africa’s future means investing in both the people who will shape it and the environments where their skills are developed. The Kagiso Trust Tee Up Tomorrow raises funds to help address practical learning needs in technical school workshops — by supporting tools, equipment and workshop improvements, the initiative aims to strengthen the foundations of technical skills development.

The Kagiso Trust x Sasol Foundation National Skills Competition celebrates technical excellence and showcases what learners and teachers can achieve when skills are developed and put into practice.

Fund the places. Inspire the people. Celebrate the skills.
This is how we Ignite Human Capacity — Tee Up Tomorrow.

Friends of Kagiso Trust

You don’t need a golf club to Tee Up Tomorrow.

Friends of Kagiso Trust welcomes organisations and individuals who choose to contribute directly to the technical school workshop priorities supported by this fundraising drive. Your donation can help fund practical needs identified through the specialist assessment — from tools and equipment to workshop improvements. Once those needs have been assessed and costed, Kagiso Trust can discuss specific funding opportunities with interested donors.
