The inaugural CADE 2026 Annual Summit, hosted by Kagiso Trust in partnership with the Centre for the Advancement of Dynamic Enterprise (CADE), successfully convened leaders from government, industry, academia, development finance institutions, and enterprise development ecosystems to explore practical pathways toward building scalable and inclusive enterprise systems in South Africa.
Held under the theme of “Reimagining and Repositioning Dynamic Enterprises as Engines of Inclusive Growth and Dignified Employment,” the two-day Summit created a platform for critical dialogue on the future of dynamic enterprises and their role in advancing sustainable economic transformation.
Across the Summit, one message emerged clearly: South Africa does not lack opportunity, capital or infrastructure, the challenge lies in building coordinated enterprise ecosystems capable of translating these resources into broad-based productive participation.
Participants engaged robustly on the need to strengthen the country’s “missing middle” of enterprises, scalable businesses capable of connecting small producers, cooperatives and community enterprises to sustainable markets and long-term growth opportunities.
